چکیده

We describe a procedure to obtain the plasma parameters from I-V Langmuir curve by using Druyvesteyn equation. propose include two new parameters, $q$ and $r$, usual parameters: potential ($V_p$), floating ($V_f$), electron density ($n$), temperature ($T$). These can be particularly useful represent non-Maxwellian distributions. The is based on fit of with $q$-Weibull distribution function, motivated recent works which use $q$-exponential function derived Tsallis statistics. employing three techniques: numerical differentiation Savitzky Golay (SG) filters, function. explain limitations where experimental data $V>V_p$ needs trimmed beforehand, this results in lower accuracy compared SG. To overcome difficulty, introduced as natural generalization distribution, it has greater flexibility order concavity change around $V_p$. apply analyze measurements corresponding nitrogen $N_2$ cold obtained single probe located at different heights cathode. show that parameter very stable value height. This work may contribute clarify some advantages non-extensive statistics diagnostics, but physical interpretation physics remains not fully clarified, requires further research.

Double Langmuir probe measurement of plasma parameters in a dc glow discharge

In this paper, plasma main characteristics such as electron mean temperature, electron number density, and oscillation frequency have been measured experimentally using the double Langmuir probe diagnostic system. In our experiment, the plasma was generated by applying the low pressure dc glow discharge in several common gases. The experimental results indicated the highest plasma density and o...

Using neural network to estimate weibull parameters

As is well known, estimating parameters of the tree-parameter weibull distribution is a complicated task and sometimes contentious area with several methods vying for recognition. Weibull distribution involves in reliability studies frequently and has many applications in engineering. However estimating the parameters of Weibull distribution is crucial in classical ways. This distribution has t...

Optimization of Langmuir Probe System Parameters in a Stationary Laboratory Plasma

Abstract In order to obtain creditable data an applicable method to optimize parameters of the Langmuir probes and circuits in a stationary laboratory device is investigated and an experimental criterion of the probe dimension is developed. To obtain the electron temperature and density the Electron Energy Distribution Function (EEDF) approach with less computing time and more accurate results ...
